The Odin's Eye is to be used in a fashion similar to Fionn's Window (an ancient Celtic scrying/divination/meditation tool). A 4 inch diameter black scrying mirror is set into the center of a solid 9 inch diameter, 1/2 inch thick engraved mahogany hardwood disc. The 24 runes of the Elder Futhark alphabet surround this, divided into three groups of eight runes called aett or aettir in the plural. Every aett bears the name of the god corresponding to the first rune of the group or the family of runes. Every aett conceals a particular teaching and each of the runes of the same aett is bound with the others.
