Male Mandrake sculpted wall hangings, reproduced from medieval images originally on woodcuts, 14th century, in the region of France. Made with white stoneware clay.

The Mandrake plant has roots that resemble the human form. For this reason the Mandrake was used in medieval magick. These images often appear in old herbal books as well as occult texts.

Each tile measures approximately 3 1/2 inches X 6 inches.
